Menu Controls:
- Click to interact with menu

- A & D to navigate the part menus

Choosing Base Part:

- A & D when choosing a part to attach too

- Enter key chooses base part

- Esc key will back out to the menu

Attaching Part:

- Q & E will rotate attachment part nodes

- A & D will rotate attachment part through the base part's nodes

- Z & C will rotate the attachment part

- Enter key to confirm attachment

- Esc key will back out to the menu


This game came out of my love for an old Xbox 360 game called Chromehounds which is a From Software game. They created this multiplayer mech builder game to appeal to a western audience. Those of us who experienced this game while the servers were live have nothing but fond memories. At least that is what I have gathered from others including myself thus far! If you have evidence to the contrary keep it to yourself so I may preserve my nostalgia! Jokes aside I want to make at least a small slice of what I experienced in that game so that others may experience it as well which is my goal for this project. Not sure how far I will take it, but I am giving it a good try. 

This is a very incomplete prototype so keep that in mind. I need to fix my algorithm for traversing the parts on the mech as sometimes parts get into an unreachable state. I also was working on support for removing and changing part menus however I was running out of time. A big factor in why those are not present in the jam build is that I need to refactor my initial state machine and add a second one. Rather than just keep making that tangled monster larger I decided I need to just do a proper refactor which was going to take more time than I had for this jam but will be done after. I am very happy with where I ended up overall, I took this project from nothing to what you see in the jam build. Forgive the lack of textures and basic models as I needed those to test the mechanics. Will be making much nicer assets in the future! There is one caveat which is the first Cockpit model you see in the Cockpit menu that was made my Mickey Gressman (badgerbyte) and is an incredible model! Puts the rest of them to shame honestly haha Well done and thank you very much for your contribution, Mickey!
